Welcome to That Harvard Girl! This blog is run by Rosanna, a Harvard grad from 2024 who had a very unique opportunity to attend Harvard as a first-generation international student from a small country with barely any other Harvard students or graduates. Because of that experience, she wants to help others from underprivileged backgrounds achieve their dreams, whether it is going to Harvard or something else.
Who is rosanna, the Founder of that Harvard Girl?
She was inspired to start this blog after countless messages from people all around the world wanting to know her secret of getting into Harvard College as one of the only people from her country Finland to this day. Having spoken at multiple events and webinars around the world about her journey, this blog was created to share her knowledge with all of you.
Her background
For Rosanna, the typical next step after high school was going to university in Finland. Craving more adventure and learning to live independently thousands of miles away from home, she decided to apply to top schools like Oxford, Trinity College Dublin, Harvard, and Yale. Having to figure out all of the complexities of the US college application system on her own with no connections she is now happy to help future college applicants to navigate the journey to their dream schools.
In addition to her school life, Rosanna is a competitive Irish dancer, attending competitions in the US and Europe. Having fallen in love with an unusual sport, she is an expert at finding one’s true calling and passion, however unconventional it may be. Juggling her time between school and dance has given her extraordinary time-management skills. Competing around the world has also helped her craft an exceptional mindset. Having snatched a graduate-level internship as an undergraduate student also has taught her to always reach for the stars, and in this blog, she will share her top tips on how you make the most out of your time.
Finding balance
Life is not all about work. In addition to working hard at an elite university, Rosanna has made mental health and happiness her priority, and she is an avid mental health advocate. She wants to share her journey with you to help you not only to achieve a lot but truly enjoy life in the process.
